THE WOMAN'S AUXILIARY PRAYER

Almighty God-, our heavenly Father, bless
we pray Thee, our work for the extension of
Thy kingdom and make us so thankful for the
precious gift to us of Thy "beloved Son, that
vie may pray fervently, labor diligently, and
give liberally to make Him known to all na-
tions as their Savior and their King: through
the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen,

Sinfi«c©iy, Emily Hurst
AlttftYS GIVING THANKS

?! ^ould you know, who is the greatest saint in
the world: 7 It is not he. T &ho prays moat, or fasts
most; it is not ho who gives moat alios,/ or i.s most
eminent for- temperance shas&ity^ and Justice^ but
It is he who is always thankful to God* ¥/ho wills
everything tfcats Gon ^ill^h, boo* rao-irrs e^ery-^

God? and to £1.11 it with feh&niri^ulness and praise
ton everything that comes from God^

:j lf anyone would tell y.ou the. short esty surest
way to all happiness ancl all perflations, no. must
tell you to make a rule to yourself to thank and.
praise God. for &9e.ry tiling that happens to you, For
it is- aer.ta.xn that mhat^ver seeming calamity hap-

you turn it into a blessing*

«I. exhort you to this method- in your devo-
tion, that every day may be made a day of thanks- •
giving ? - and that "the spirit of murmur and disco

is so often employed in ringing the praises of God, 1,1
